Dosa Kim studied at the Art Institute of Atlanta and later obtained degrees in Digital Media and Computer Animation from the University of Georgia. His work revolves around narrative — telling stories in a visual format through Japanese-influenced anime, cartoon-like characters, and recognizable themes.
Kim's work may present a darker side of the story, but always emphasizes the notion of hope. That ideal is carried through his logo: “Some of us will find our way home.”
His work is held in collections across the country and has been featured with Nike and 1800 Tequila, and exhibited at the Alan Avery Art Company in Atlanta. He was selected as one of a handful of visionaries chosen to brainstorm and develop concepts for the Museum of the Future in Dubai.
Kim is the founder of D3CRYPT3D, a 3D IP encryption platform that holds a patent on 3D asset protection technology. D3CRYPT3D allows creators to encrypt and protect their 3D files — embedding trace-paths and access controls to prevent theft of digital assets. The platform was awarded the SXSW 2017 Interactive Innovation Award for Privacy & Security, recognizing it as one of the most innovative technologies of the year.
